 Our beloved pet, 1st mate Levi,
pased away tonight without pain or fear.
Our 14 year old Husky/Malamute mix has been our joy, our companion,
and our pain. We can tell you stories of his running away, hiding,
playing patty cake with Ann, never catching a ball, and never
complaining about a difficult passage. He was the talk of the mooring
field when we spent the holidays at Vero Beach. Our doggie ramp to the
dinghy was a real hit with our fellow cruisers. In November of 2008,
Levi was diagnosed with Lymphoma. He was already deaf as a post and his
hind legs were very weak. Dr. Steve prescribed cortisone to slow the
advancement of the cancer and we got three more months of our Levi.
Sadly, everything came back in February. We'll post a tribute to Levi
