6 Dec 2008, St Nicholas Day, 54 21.60 N/ 010 12.60 E

Today is St. Nicholas day where small presents are left at the door steps of all good people. Wolfgang and Denise must be good people 'cause our hosts, the Mülers and Inge each dropped by and offered candies and cookes for our enjoyment. ARC Germany was open for business as our schedule was not too busy today. Wolfgang joined Bob in doing computer stuff. They both look as happy as pigs in mud playing with their computers (of course Bob is doing real work). Tonight is Denise's xx birthday party at one of her best friends, Regina. Regina has a very nice place and a friendly 14 year old daughter. We all had a great group).

07 Dec 2008, Fish Market and a Gourmet Dinner, 54 21.60 N/ 010 12.60 E

Cold out today. It is near 0 C and we are headed for Eckernförde where there is a rather large fish market today. Boy these German's like their Markts. Eckernförde is a medium size town with a large waterfront complete with yacht and commercial facilities. The market is along the waterfront and extends nearly a quarter of a mile. There is much more than fish at the fish market. A very interesting visit to Eckernförde. Pretty town
We turned the car back to the SE and headed back to Inge and Wolfgang's for a duck dinner. Neither Ann nor Bob had ever had duck so we were not sure about this German meal. However, we were brave as we approached their house near the Schwentine. Dinner was great and after a little converstation, all except Inge headed for the river for a walk and a talk. The river must be beautiful in the spring and summer and it was quite interesting even now as winter approached. After the walk, we had dessert and then headed back to our flat.
No picture of Ann until now. The photographer never gets her picture in the logs. Here is our famous photo journalist performing her work. Bad Bob should have been more active in the picture taking but sadly he is just lazy. Maybe he will get better next year. We are all thankful to Ann for her great picture taking. Wait until you see her Hamburg pictures!
