While we were hunkering down for for a blow here in Nassau harbor, our poor Wilmington house was getting attacked by 5 inches of snow. Unheard of! We will not get into politics and political climatology but this is strange stuff. Hope it is not foretelling a nasty hurricane year. We thank our neighbors in Lambs Bluff for all of the pictures that we have received.

14 Feb 2010, Valentine's Day in Nassau, 25 04.488 N/ 077 18.81 W

Today is Sunday and we are heading for our church which is about a half hour walk. On the way we saw this interesting sign on our way. Certainly thought provoking. People continue to be very friendly here. Nice place!
Sacred Heart church was built in 1897 and consists of a nice mixed race community. We met a couple of Brits, an American, many Bahamians, and an Indian-Bahamian. We actually went for coffee after church, something that Bob never does.
Bob tried to get Ann a Valentine's card but he had no money. Ann had not replenished his kitty and so no card. However, we did have a chance to walk down Lover's Lane which was right next to the church. Not bad. The walk back was uneventful other than we almost got squished on the road where the sliver of a sidewalk disappeared and the cars did not seem to care
