Voyage 2020: Chapter 5

First stop today is a visit to Dick and Judy Giddings, formally of SV St. Jude and now supporting the cruising community as Coastal Station KNC in Dover NC. We have known these two for over twenty years. They are major participants of the Waterway, Cruiseheimers, and Doo Daa nets. If you scroll back on the Jule III archives, you will find many references to them. Today, we checked out a new restaurant in Dover (one of the few establishments in business there. Good food and good conversation. We had to leave too soon!

Next stop is an overnight to Oriental NC where we will visit Butch and Vicki yet another time. We have not seen their house since the devastation from Hurricane Florence. The village is mostly recovered from Florence and Butch and Vicki's house is fine shape. We plugged RV Jule III into and extension cord and then headed for a restaurant (forgot the name). We bamboozled B&V by paying for the whole thing without them knowing. Tomorrow we head back to homeport at the Watermark Marina where we store RV Jule III under roof.
