Wolfgang and Denise's motor is still not ready. Hopefully it will be back in and running next week. So Moony and Jule III did boat projects, read, and did some real work. Jule III taught Moony to play bocce. Guys versus girls. Guys were not doing too well, until Wolfgang became the star of the team. The guys could not be beaten (yet). Losers have to take the balls back to the marina. Ann and Denise are not happy. Bob and Wolfgang are.
The folks on 'I' dock are great. On our port side is a 53 foot
Carver owned by Tom, Jill and Stewy (a Skipperky). They are Chaseapeake Bay liveaboards who came down here for fun and marine work. However, they will be heading North within the next week or two. Stewy comes by every morning to say 'hi'. We are constantly afraid that he is going to fall into the 'drink', but he never does.
Wayne and Nancy of SV Dances with Dragons (Tayana 43) are trying to get on with their cruising also. However, his work keeps dragging him away, weeks at a time. Nancy is making new canvas for the dodger and bimini. Looks like they may be here until late March. Wolfgang and Bob have exhausted their project lists so we rented a car (again) and decided to drive to St. Augustine. Though the drive was long, we had fun. Sadly, we will have to return the car soon.

Yep, we are still here. Folks ask us why we are sticking around. Moony reminds us that we are free to go. The answer is simple. We want to stay. We would rather delay our departure so that we can explore the Bahamas together. While we wait, we are keeping our days busy. We work around the boat, check on Moony's motor, rent a car on the weekend, play bocce, and read. Still, we are anxious to head South together.
Stewy comes by and peers under the rail to say hi every morning. He then makes his circumnavigation of the boat, goes on his rug in the cockpit, and then disappears into the cabin. Stewy gives us our 'doggy-fix' and helps us deal with missing our 'kids'. Stewy's folks are out of town so one of the local kids is staying on board and taking care of him. Stewy is making mistakes.
A new boat (SV Aanawoosh) arrived this week. Three dogs, a cat,
and Kip are operating the Pacific Seacraft sloop. He came through Lake Okeechobee with a stepped mast lying on deck. During the boats rebirth, the wind speed sensor was damaged. Wolfgang and Bob hauled him up the mast to retrieve the unit. A couple days later we helped him again so that he could re-install it. Kip rewarded us with wine and cheese a couple of days earlier.
