While on a work assignment to Washington DC, Bob went to say 'hi' to Jule III who was languishing 'on the hard'. To add insult to injury, her cover was laden with six inches of snow. Bob labored up the ladder, crawled under the cover, and started punching snow. An hour latter, she was clean. He took the headsail winches off the boat for a genteel cleaning in Wilmington. Either the winches are getting much heavier; or Bob is getting much older. Hmmm!

Back in Wilmington, we decided to take the NC Ferry to Southport. We have done this many times and Bob refers to these trips as our mini 'vacations' . We were on the MV Southport, where we were welcomed by crewmenber Bruce. We redeemed his promise to visit the bridge and meet Cpt. Mary Beth. She gave us a great tour of MV Southport, including her unique vertical foil-based propulsion system. She mentioned that she owns a large 'pinky' schooner, moored at Southport. Of course, we forgot to bring our camera to the bridge. So we headed to the Southport Marina to take a picture of the SV Kittehawk, the Captain's boat.

Well, this wraps up our so-called Voyage 2004-2005. We are sorry that it was not as exciting as originally promised, but hey, Bob is still with us. Our new cruise report will start in April 2005. We hope it will be filled with reports from New England, Bahamas, and Bermuda. But we are not going to announce these trips until they happen. Well, see you all soon. Check on us often!
