Mailboats move mail but they move freight, produce, construction materials and much, much more. The Mailboat is one of my interests. For GTC, it was MV Legacy (BS) from Dean Shipping for the longest time. We all loved Legacy. Legacy was damaged a couple of years ago and we never got her back. Instead we were assigned MV Champion III (PA). She has a shallower draft (I think) but she is not as pretty and has no hold, so freight will get wet in weather.

Miss Julie S. is the Agent for Dean at Green Turtle Cay (picture on the
left). Our first year in GTC had a different Agent but she passed away
and Julie took over soon after.
One of the pictures in the Gallery is former Capt. Bob (me) warming a
seat at the Agent's table. I like it.
Other ships come here but they are not Dean ships so I don't track them (because nobody has asked).

Green Turtle is a most beautiful Cay in the Archipego of the Bahamas. The scene on the right (I believe) was taken from a local resident (I forgot who) but it is beautiful! Those of you familiar with the Bolo dock with recognize two of the four BOLOs ferries. The sign was posted on the edge of Coco Bay close to the road; followed by a photo of the Lowe Museum on Parliament St (must see). The last is our Anglican Church of St. Peter.

Then the Cat and I are gone. Sigh.
