Today, we waited for the current to start flooding on the
River before we left for the Carolina Beach. The wind was still strong
from the NE but the current never flooded; for the most part it was
slack. The trip was short and uneventful. Weather calmed down a bit as
we approached our slip. We knew we were near when we saw Tortuga on the
T head and some movement on the docks.

We had a bunch of Mona Black folks waiting for our
arrival. Gene retrieved our bow lines while Randy and Bill secured the
springs and the stern line. Wow, we are tied up. Now all we have to do
is take a half of ton off stuff of the boat. We continually overpack.
No more!! It is good to be back and we are tired. Tomorrow Gene will
drive us back to get our car.
