We were looking forward to our landfall in Sint Maarten
and hoped it would be as exciting as our landfall nearly two years ago.
It was...almost. The genesis of TS Ermesto made rain and limited
visibility but still we could see Simpson Bay, the 'Witches Tit', and
the airport. We tied up within a couple hundred meters from where we
anchored in Phillipsburg. We took a water taxi to the beach area and
the ladies went shopping. Lilli and Grandpa hung together for a bit and
discussed Sponge Bob.

Both the grandkids got sick during the trip
but both recovered fairly quickly. Collin had a hair experience a
couple weeks before the cruise which may take a while to 'heal'. Still
he was happy with it so what could Grandma and Grandpa do. Nothing!
Lilli and Grandma were as tight as always and had a great time
together. Of course, Grandpa clawed her mercilessly while she took his
nose almost as frequently. We had a great time, all six of us.

There are bunches of things to do on the ship! We had a
great wait staff and our 'room warden' was unmatched. We complained a
bit about the crowded dining rooms but that was a thing thing not a
people thing. The crew was great! We even found a waiter from the
USA. A rare breed indeed.

Collin was enjoying himself also.
He met a bunch of kids during his journey. Needless to say, we did not
see him very much. That is the downside of growing up. He had a lot of
fun and that was good enough for us. Neither of the kids took
advantage of the programs that were available. They would rather spend
the time with their family and their new friends.
